This one combines short length and light weight with surprising power and the ability to handle large fish.
Many people associate nothing more than six inch brookies with small stream fishing. What you're probably not prepared for when wading small streams is the wily brown trout that may be parked under an undercut bank or in a pool just a bit deeper that you'd expect in such small water. When one of these lunkers grabs your fly, watch out.
If you're armed with this Helios 4 weight you'll have a fighting chance. The seven foot length is perfect for managing overhanging branches and negotiating the tight spaces of your favorite brook.
