American made reel the best I have ever fished with, February 13, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ardent Baitcasting Reel (Sports) This is my third ardent reel and my first xs600 my other 2 being xs1000's it is built excalty the same as the xs1000 only it has 6 ball bearings instead of 10 bearings.These reels are built here in the good ol' USA, Missouri to be exact ardent reels have a 3 year warranty on all their reels and are cheaper than an import the quality is excellent bar none. The customer support is the best, I usually send my reels in to the factory once a year to get them professionally cleaned it takes them about 5-10 days to get back to me plus ardent repairs and upgrades any components that need to be for free (let's see an import reel company do that)If you want an American built reel for half the cost of an import that is 10 times the warranty coverage buy an ardent and support an American company.

He was in the market for a new reel; went looking on the Internet to see what was available. This is the ONLY reel made in the USA. It is a well-crafted reel. Smooth exterior and smooth operation. He has been very pleased with this reel. Uses it on every fishing trip (and he has several others). He was tired of everything being made outside of our national borders. Ardent--Made in the USA a personal choice.
