I'm new to bait casters, as I usually use a spinning reel. I wanted more out of my fishing experience, and I needed more of a challenge. I bought this after an in-store demonstration of the how the Twitchin' Bar worked. It seemed gimmicky at first, but for $59.00, it would still cast and reel if the bar was garbage. As it turns out, the Twitchin' Bar is the real deal. Because of the action it gives your bait in the water, it draws fish like flies. The first time using this reel with a Bass Pro Crankin' Stick, I caught a 22.5 inch Largemouth on a Texas rigged (weedless) lizard. I am usually a Shimano man with spinning reels, but I absolutely love this reel and the ease of use. I'm not a pro fisherman by any means. This reel turns fishing into catching.
