At first glance, this reel may seem relativly expensive, but upon using it in a variety of situations, it is more than justified. Presently, this reel is paired with a medium action 7' rod (neocarbon) and 30 lb. braided line, and had been used for fluke, bluefish, weakfish, barracuda, and spanish mackeral. From New Jersey to Florida, this reel hasnever failed to perform at the top of its game and the drag has never failed. With minimun reasonable care, this item will last for decades. My sons will ultimatly inherit this reel, as I think it will outlast me. I may very well buy another, for long after price is forgotton, quality remains.

All I can say is love love love this reel! Absolutely amazing with the way it handles fish, heavy but built with quality, one thing I've noticed that not one other person has ever said or noticed about these reels is the rotor feels off balanced, not a big deal but I feel as though no one has felt this although I have 3 all outstanding with that one gripe, I will still buy more! Favorite reel I own and I've owned penns quantums diawas and other fin nors.
